Pro€Invest training in Rwanda and discussions with PSF Rwanda

DECP attended and assisted in the facilitation of the Pro€Invest Seminar on Advocacy held in Kigali from 28 March – 1 April, 2011. This seminar was the opportunity for the Employers Organisations from Rwanda, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Ghana to report on their progress in developing their Business Agendas and the consultations that they have undertaken in their respective countries.

The DECP also took the opportunity of meeting with the CEO for the Private Sector Federation (PSF) in Kigali to discuss in detail what the DECP can do to help in their development. The meeting also discussed the involvement of the PSF in the newly to be formed East African Employers Organisation (EAEO) in Arusha, being set up to represent employers into the East African Community.

The mission was also an opportunity for the Director of the DECP Ronald de Leij and the Country Manager Andrew Moore to meet with the staff at the Netherlands Embassy to brief them on developments with the PSF.
